This is for the second task of the paperwork rotation with the subject of the tasks being extremes, ease in and out.
The first task was to make a bouncing ball which uses both acceleration and deceleration in movement. Looking over it successes I see are the sense of weight as the ball bounces as it propels itself into the next bounce. What I would have done differently would be to add a section towards the end of the ball bouncing where it loses momentum and comes to a more natural stop after it jumps.
In the second part of the task we were told to make a circular character following the ball bouncing movement, I decided to make this a frog as it would play of the bouncing movement. Successes of this task I see is using the first ball movement to explore different ways that can be seen, for this the imagery of a ball bouncing with a frog jumping. What I’d like to improve is the first bit of the frog contacting the ground and as it goes into their next jump, I’d put more focus onto them hitting the ground and the change of weight as they go to jump again.
For the third part of the task i had to create a pose which varied in hand gestures. Succeses of this task I feel are the slight eases into the main three hand gestures, the expression of each pose which is able to move into the next. What I’d do differently is look at arm and hand movement so that the arm movements make sense so that they can be lifelike.
